Just another song to listen to. I remember it was maybe two years ago, maybe three, when my friend Cyrus (I believe it was Cyrus) was showing me this band called Your Vegas. They struck me as cool. Just cool. Not dazzling, or spectacular, but fun to listen to nonetheless. Their main single, “In My Head”, was pretty catchy. I was slightly more impressed by another one of their videos, “The Way the War Was Won”, which had a deeper more serious theme and sounded completely different from their original single. I remember appreciating the lines, “If I ever see blue skies in my town/ You know I'll kiss the ground we walk on”. But the one thing about Your Vegas I could take away liking were the vocals. It maybe have been the only reason why I kept listening to them. It was nice to hear solid rock vocals in 07/08 and they had it. It was like a more mature Adam Lazzara from Taking back Sunday that wasn’t tone deaf.
